We
all agree that education plays a vital role in structuring our society. I
believe that our nation stays on top, if we talk about education and its
pattern. The fact cannot be denied that our Nation needs to work rigorously on
the reforms of education system. Our government has been working to refine our
education system since last couple of decades, yet they seem to be reaching
nowhere.
Nearly a quarter of India’s public is in the age of attending
school and college, but the concern is, does the quality being served fulfill
our needs to compete with the world, with such a huge population? Keeping this
as our focus point, a number of steps have been taken by the educational
institutions to upgrade the quality of education in India. Our current inputs
for the education sector are 4.6% of GDP and the government is lining up to
achieve around 6% of GDP for education in the upcoming years. There're several other subjects that need to be taken care of. The literacy rate in
India is mere 74.04%. As per the “Annual Status of Education Report 2017”, it
was assessed that about 20% of pupil in their teenage could not comprehend
simple text in their own language, and more than 50% faced problem in
performing rudimentary arithmetic. This shows the dearth of good education.
We have found a number of IITs, IIMs, Law
schools, etc and students are even scoring hundred percent in their senior
secondary results, then what are the amendments that need to be made in our
Education network? Below mentioned is the list of actions that need to be taken
to develop a better education system for the country.
1 Objective of Education
.
2-
one on one teaching
One-on-one teaching occurs directly between a single
student and a single teacher. Instead being in a batch setting with other
students around, one-on-one command imparts a setting for more activity and
practical learning with less interruptions.
.
Furthermore, adding more to it, one-on-one teaching paves
a way for regular students and with non-traditional schedules to be able to
pursue earning an education on their own accord. In an online class, this means
that pupil can log on and learn as per their need. This could be done through a
one-on-one individual lesson, or through recorded class as well that allow
students to enter to the medium based on enrollment.
3- Techno- Friendly Education
“Technology is a transformation
for education – it provides the prospect of ubiquitous access to premium learning experiences, and it designs basically new ways of teaching,” said Dan Schwartz, from Stanford Graduate School of Education,
who also happens to be a professor of educational technology at the university.
“But there are many ways we teach that arenot quite great, and a huge fear with
AI specifically is that we just get better at teaching badly. This is a time to
pay attention, to do things in some different way.”
4- Eliminate Reservation.
There
are lot of debates held every year on the implementation of reservation or
quota seats in education . While a large number of students feel that their
chances are mitigated due to the quota system, others find it important to mend
the caste-based biases in the country
Reservation established
on caste system is totally
discriminatory for the general category meritorious kids as it limits their
entrance into the colleges they wish to go. Such colossal difference has taken
a toll on the general meritorious students. Opportunities for them must be
totally based on their ability and financial frameworks and not on caste-based
privileges.
